do :: valentine's day conversation heart cupcake toppers

this week i have a whole weeks worth of valentine's day posts.  first up some conversation heart cupcake toppers.

these were very easy to make.  you need conversation hearts (i like the Brach's Conversation Hearts.  the words on the necco conversation hearts didn't show up well.  who is doing the QA over there??) royal icing and toothpicks.

in between each heart, add a drop of royal icing and push next to another heart.  when you have three together.  allow to dry overnight.  the next day, carfully turn over your trio over conversation hearts and add a drop of royal icing to the back of the middle heart.  push a toothpick into the back icing.  using another conversation heart at the other end of the toothpick to keep the icing side from flipping up.  allow to dry overnight.
